Trait Detail

Half-breed (Kantia)

Cost: Flaw: 1 to 2 points
Description:The character was the result of a union between two different races. Lukoi, Trolls, and Israkk can not take this trait since they are unable to breed with the other races. The half-breed flaws are listed below.
  • Arcane Disciplines -1 (1 pt flaw): The character's disciplines are always treated as if they were 1 rank lower than they actually are for the purposes of calculating STAM costs. This trait can only be taken if the character takes Arcane disciplines. This does not confer any kind of resistance to arcane abilities.
  • Arcane Disciplines -2 (2 pt flaw): As above except the discipline penalty is 2 ranks lower. This trait can only be taken if the character takes Arcane disciplines.
  • Psychic Disciplines -1 (1 pt flaw): Just as the Arcane discipline traits except it applies to psychic disciplines.
  • Psychic Disciplines -2 (2 pt flaw): Just as the Arcane discipline traits except it applies to psychic disciplines.
  • Odd shaped hands (2 pt flaw): -20 AV to use complex mechanical items and -10 AV to use firearms.
  • Ugly (1 pt flaw): The character does not look good at all, taking some very incompatible cosmetic traits and combining them. The character suffers a -20 AV penalty to all social interactions.
  • Fugly (2 pt flaw): The character is hideously deformed, combining the worst traits possible to create a horribly mismatched appearance. The character suffers a -40 AV penalty to all social actions. In some cases the character will be viewed as an aberration or monster by local residents.
